Bayt El-Maarifa played a leading role in the successful completion of the 2025 regional initiative on the nexus between corruption and the water sector in the Arab States region, implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) through its Regional Project on Anti-Corruption and Integrity in Arab Countries (ACIAC). The director of Bayt El-Maarifa served as the international consultant for the project, providing technical expertise and strategic guidance throughout its implementation. The initiative strengthened transparency, accountability, and integrity mechanisms in water governance across participating countries by bringing together government institutions, anti-corruption authorities, water ministries, civil society organisations, and regional experts to develop evidence-based policies and enhance institutional capacities. The project also fostered regional dialogue on sustainable water governance in response to growing climate pressures and water scarcity challenges across the Arab region, marking an important milestone in advancing good governance and sustainable development.
