James Oyesola is an accomplished environmental and climate change expert with over 10 years of international experience advancing sustainable development across Africa and globally. With leadership roles at UNEP-EBAFOSA (UN Global Adaptation Network), he has contributed to shaping climate policies, promoting the Water-Energy-Food Nexus, and supporting the implementation of the Paris Agreement and SDG 13 (Climate Action).

James holds a Master of Research (MRes) in Environmental Management with Distinction from the University of Bolton, awarded under the prestigious British Council GREAT Scholarship. He also holds an Executive Certificate in Climate and Energy Policy from Harvard Kennedy School and an MBA, reflecting his ability to bridge environmental and economic priorities.

His work spans environmental governance, climate finance, food security, and capacity building, with collaborations involving UNEP, the World Bank, and national ministries. A member of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM).
