Its research and consultancy portfolio also includes the Development of a National Drought Risk Management Framework in Iraq, sponsored by the UN World Food Programme, as well as the Corruption Risk Management Methodology and Application in the Water Sector, sponsored by the UNDP Regional Bureau for Arab States. Another project examined Agricultural Water Resources Management and Conservation in Iraq’s Anbar Region, sponsored by GIZ/AFC Consultants International.

Webinars have become another important part of the Academy’s knowledge-sharing mission.
The Academy has delivered webinars addressing subjects such as longitudinal statistical modelling in child development research, the interlinkages between the Sustainable Development Goals, and sustainable water resources management.
In 2026, the Academy continued this programme of knowledge exchange, including a webinar on the Interlinkages between Sustainable Development Goals, delivered on 18 May 2026, and a coordinated free webinar delivered on 12 June 2026 in collaboration with the Southern Technical University.
These events provide accessible platforms where professionals, researchers and students can engage with specialised knowledge, discuss emerging challenges and strengthen their understanding of practical approaches to sustainable development.
