Bayt El-Maarifa International Academy, a UK-based organisation Partners with Green Empowerment for Development (GEFD) in Yemen to Strengthen Capacity Building for Vulnerable Communities
[Manchester, 30 April 2026] – Bayt El-Maarifa International Academy has reinforced its global mission to empower vulnerable communities through a strategic partnership with Green Empowerment for Development Organization (GEFD), a Yemeni non-profit organization working at the intersection of humanitarian relief and sustainable development.
Founded in Yemen, GEFD focuses on empowering vulnerable populations—particularly children, youth, and people with disabilities—through inclusive education, environmental sustainability initiatives, and community-based development programmes.
Through this collaboration, Bayt El-Maarifa International Academy provides internationally aligned training in environmental management, sustainable development, and advanced capacity building. These programs target engineering and management teams as well as local communities, ensuring that recovery and reconstruction efforts are implemented in line with global academic and professional standards.
“This partnership reflects our commitment to investing in human capital as the foundation for sustainable development,” said [Prof Dr Eng. Furat Al-Faraj, Founder and CEO]. “By strengthening local capacities, we enable communities not only to recover—but to lead their own long-term development.”
The collaboration highlights a shared vision of empowering communities through knowledge, innovation, and sustainable practices—ensuring lasting impact in Yemen and beyond.
