A 5-day training course delivered online in February 2025 to the delegateions from five ministries in Iraq including the Ministry of Water Resources, the Ministry of Agiculture, the Ministry of Planning, the Ministry of Environment, and the Minsitry of Agriculture and Water Resources-KRG. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a set of 17 interconnected global objectives adopted by the United Nations in 2015 to address various social, economic, environmental, and governance challenges facing the world. Understanding the interlinkages between the SDGs is crucial for effective policy planning and implementation as progress in one goal often influences outcomes in others. The objective of the training was to explore the interconnected nature of the SDGs and highlights the importance of integrated approaches in achieving the sustainable development.
